 In Indian Culture, facing the feet with someone else must be avoided, for this is a sign of disrespect, especially inside the temple, since the feet is the dirtiest part of the body. On the other hand, the head is the most important thing. Touching someone’s head in India is a sign of disrespect or rudeness.
